In April 2006, Wendy got her first taste for what the future would hold when she was approached by a neighbour to help stage their home for an upcoming Open House. The home had been on the market for 3 months and the homeowners had grown tired of uprooting their young family for various showings. After Wendy selected new paint colours and staged the home it sold for full asking price at the Open House. Wendy had found her new calling.

She began working with a local staging company, received her Certified Staging Professionals (CSP) designation in 2008 and in 2011 was ready to push forward and took the leap into entrepreneurialism when she founded Wendy Black Interiors, a full-service home staging company.  It was not long before word soon spread of Wendy's success in getting top dollar for her clients.  She was staging homes, cottages, condos and offices, working alongside some of the top realtors and builders in the business and helping individual homeowners to maximize the return on their property investments when selling.

Wendy is always looking for ways to improve the industry and offer assistance to her fellow home stagers.  She has served as the President of the KW Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) chapter and is an active member and Goodwill Ambassador for Certified Staging Professionals (CSP). In 2015 Wendy also founded Exit Staged Right Furniture Rentals which offers everything from furniture to artwork, plants, lamps and accessories for home stagers in the region. She also formed a network group named WIN (Women of Influence Network) for women professionals to build connections and grow.

Wendy has appeared on Rogers TV Grand River Living, CTV's Quick Fix At Five and been interviewed on New York Empire Radio as well as being on the cover and featured in Spotlight On Business Magazine.  She has also been published in Realtor.ca Living Room, Fine Homes Magazine, Neighbours of Grand River Magazine and CSP Staging Standard Magazine.

 Wendy was honoured to be selected as RESA 2024 Top 10 Home Stager in Canada for vacant homes.
